For our client dredging company Boskalis B.V. We have supervised the dry-dock repair of the trailing suction hopper dredger 'Barent Zanen' in Poland. The vessel was repaired within the scheduled 5 weeks and within the given budget. After the repairs a final report was drawn up with recommendations for the upcoming repair period. Below is a brief overview of the repair work:
- Renewal survey Bureau Veritas.
- Overhaul both main engines
- Several steel repairs in such as shell plate and frame renewal. incl. conservation.
- Several steel repairs in hopper such as repairs of self emptying channel, frame repairs renewal duct keel plating and jet line renewal.
- Renewal of hopper loading line including supports and hydraulic system.
- Grit blasting and conservation of vessels hull.
- Exchange of propeller blades
- Repairs dredge system, such as overhaul of gantry wagons and trailing pipe gantries, dredge and jet lines.
