For our client Van Oord we have managed the repair project of the trailing suction hopper dredger HAM 311 in Rotterdam dry-dock. We have prepared the repair specification and budget drawn up, arranged the yard and subcontractors. The HAM 311 has been repaired within the scheduled repair period and within the given budget. After the repair a final report with recommendations for the upcoming repair period was drawn up. Below is a brief overview of the repair works:
- Special survey Bureau Veritas.
- Overhaul both main engines.
- Several steel repairs in tanks such as shell plating and frames.
- Renewal of all bottom door hinges in the vessel.
- Renewal of the complete hopper self emptying channel.
- Hydro-jetting and conservation of vessels hull, main deck and hopper coaming.
- Overhaul of both CPP propellers.
